Other Events Enzon, Inc. announced today it intends, subject to market and other conditions, to make a private offering of $400 million of Convertible Subordinated Notes due 2008 with an option to issue an additional $60 million of notes. At the option of the holder, the notes will be convertible into shares of Enzon's Common Stock under certain circumstances at a price to be determined and will be subordinated in right of payment to all senior indebtedness of Enzon. Enzon intends to use the proceeds of the sale for general corporate purposes, including our internal discovery and development programs and the development of new technologies, general working capital and possible future acquisitions.
